With xDSL or cable modems using an Ethernet link and the PPTP (VPN) or PPPoE protocol, you must configure every client computer in order to limit the size of transmit packets. This is made usually by setting a TCP/IP parameter named MTU, which stands for Maximum Transmit Unit. Set the MTU to 1492 for PPPoE connections. To do that:

On Windows computers, use the wpclient.exe utility we provide with WOOWEB-PRO. You will find it in the installation directory (generally C:\Program Files\Prosum).
On Linux computers use the ifconfig command. Type: ifconfig eth0 mtu 1492.
On Macintosh use IPNetTuner from Sustainable Softworks (www.sustworks.com).
On other operating systems, refer to the provider documentation.
