- Supports Jumbo Frame up to 7KB (Vista) and 4KB (XP and other OS)
The EtherWAN GE3000 Gigabit Ethernet adaptor for PCI Express buses provides significant bandwidth improvement compared to conventional PCI architectures. Microsoft NDIS (IP, TCP, UDP) checksum calculation and TCP segmentation are offloaded from host CPU to improve the overall system performance.
ACPI 2.0 and Wake-on-LAN (WOL) technologies allow for a minimal power operation during sleep states.
GE3000 supports IEEE802.1Q VLAN Tagging to enable to create VLANs for network segmentation and for security. It also supports IEEE 802.1p Layer 2 Priority Tagging to prioritize traffic.
GE3000 can be managed remotely since it complies with SNMP v1. The Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) 2.1 allows to remotely boot workstations and thin clients on the network.
