K5EXT300 is a KVM extender consisting of a transmitter (K5CMLC) and a remote receiver (K5LC). When interconnected with a single cat5 cable these two devices enable controlling a computer from up to 300m/1000ft away by extending the KVM console.
K5EXT300 not only extends your keyboard, monitor and mouse but also those commonly seen interfaces such as serial port, audio speaker and microphone.
The RS232 extension is a convenient way for those who require a reliable serial extension over cat5 cable.
The transmitter provides an extra local console port enabling a local user to share the computer access with the remote user.
All settings are done by OSD menus permitting to tune the VGA contrast, light and RGB transmission delays to get a clear and crips image at any distance and any resolution. All settings are kept into EEPROM memory so that you need to do them only once for a given installation. There are most of time no settings to do for small distances below 100m.
K5EXT300 is also the perfect solution to extend the console port of a conventional KVM switch over cat5 cable.

Last firmware version (dated 08, November 2007): Download it
This package includes the firmware file and the upgrade utility K5ext300.exe.
Connect the technical USB port of K5LC to the computer with a standard USB cable and select "Firmware Upgrade" into the K5LC OSD management. Then unzip "k5ext300soft.zip" and run K5ext300.exe to upload the new software to K5LC and K5CMLC.
