PROEXPERT-100WL is compliant with the latest hardware and software standards related to power management and remote wake-up. It supports the PCI 2.2 specifications and can work on 3.3V or 5V PCI buses. It can detect whether it is powered by an auxiliary power supply that is always on, or by the PCI power supply that goes down during power saving modes. When a wake-up event is detected, a signal is generated to put the computer into the working mode.
PROEXPERT-100WL supports three types of wake-up events: Magic Packet Detect, OnNow Pattern Match Detect and Link State Change.
PROEXPERT-100WL can be used with almost all network operating systems. Most of the time the software driver (PCNET on Windows, PCNET32 on Linux, etc.) is integrated in the OS and the adapter is automatically recognized. In addition a complete set of drivers is provided allowing to upgrade the OS driver when it does not support the latest functions of the adapter.
