PRIMA-4 PRIMA-8 and PRIMA-16 are three high-quality conventional KVM switches intended for computer and server management in corporate, factory as well as in campus computing environments.

USB and PS/2 Interface on Both Console and PC Sides: PRIMA KVM switches support both USB and PS/2 interfaces on both console and PC sides. This is especially useful when old computers with only PS/2 interfaces are cohabiting with newer computers equipped with only USB interfaces.

OSD Menu: The intuitive OSD menus permit to select the active computer port and to access all command and setup functions such as login, firmware upgrade and auto-scanning.

Auto Scanning: When this function is running, PRIMA switches automatically from each computer to the next one into the daisy-chain. Each computer is selected during a period of time that is programmable through OSD menu (5 to 95 sec).

Daisy-Chain: The daisy-chain system is totally different from simple port cascade that most of competitor provide. It permits to maintain the same high video quality whatever how many devices are inter-connected. Up to 8 PRIMA switches can be attached together increasing the possible number of computers to 128. If the first switch of the daisy-chain is a PRIMA IP model, all attached computers can be controlled locally and remotely via an IP secure SSL connection.

Metal Enclosure: The PRIMA KVM switches are robust and durable. Their metal enclosure provides better shielding against electromagnetic interferences commonly seen in lab or factory environments.

Firmware Upgrade: The PRIMA firmware is stored in Flash memory and can be upgraded locally via a serial RS232 connection, or remotely if a PRIMA-IP is driving the daisy-chain. Thus, your investment on this KVM switch is further ensured and its life-time value just maximized.

Cable Assembly: Clean cable assemblies integrating VGA, PS/2 and USB attachments permit to connect the computers to the PRIMA computer ports. They are available in 1.2m, 3m, and 5m lengths.

PRIMA KVM switches come with the power adapter, the daisy-chain cable, the upgrade cable and the rack-mount accessories.

Cable assemblies integrating VGA, PS/2 and USB attachments must be bought independently according to the distances to computers. These cables include the VGA, PS/2 and USB attachments. they are equipped with connectors that can plug to most popular computers.

KVM side : Only one HDB15-pin male connector for VGA, USB and PS/2 connections.
Computer side : HDB15 male blue VGA connector, MiniDin6 purple PS/2 keyboard connector, and USB type A connector.

To connect a computer using the USB interface, plug only the USB connector. The mouse and keyboard are combined by the KVM into a single composite device that needs only one USB interface. Do not plug the purple PS/2 connector.

To connect a computer providing only PS/2 interfaces, plug the purple connector into the keyboard input, and the USB connector into the mouse input by using the green adapter supplied with the cable.

These cables are available in 1.8m, 3m, and 5m lengths.
